Christmas is passing once more and I find myself looking back at a magical few weeks, made more special by childhood memories brought back to life through two little girls.
For the second year running we took part in the Lostwithiel Christmas Pageant, much to my little exhibitionist’s delight.
Lostwithiel, the town my parents live in, is a truly magical place at Christmas. Such a sence of old fashioned community and everyone goes to so much effort.
A highlight is following the Advent trail around the town. 24 shop and house windows decorated with beautiful Christmas scenes.
It really got us in the festive mood and gave me the push I needed to start transforming the house and bringing that festive feeling to our home.
Decorating the table at my parents is another Christmas tradition.
It’s so lovely using things that have been in the family for so long. My Great Grandmother made the table cloths. My Granny hand embroidered the napkins. Family silver, passed from mother to daughter.
I went for a vintage Scandi feel this year with these beautiful, bargainous pinecone garlands. I’ll be very happy to get those pretties out again next year and adorn the stairs perhaps.
