Vintage Antiques Fair.

The girls and I went to an Antique/Vintage Fair today at The Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebride.

I couldn’t help but take some snaps of the treasures we explored and I thought I’d quickly share some of them with you, as I attempt to get the small people to sleep…

I have a thing for old bottles. I don’t really like objects cluttering up the house that don’t perform a function and so rarely feel tempted to buy any these days, but I find them fascinating, to think of all the places they’ve been, the people that have used them…the beautiful subtle colours of the glass ones…

Cornish Vintage always put on a fantastic, nostalgic, colourful display, wherever they are. My Gran had a fair few wonderful Tupperware pieces, back in the day…

The girls were facinated by this vintage anatomy poster, it sparked many MANY questions.

I could have happily flaked out on one of the several vintage loungers scattered here and there.

On the way home we popped into Hawksfield for a quick peruse…

Seriously sexy chair.
I was SO tempted by these gorgeous Cacti, but I had my sensible hat on.

A quick garden centre dash for a Japanese Anenome…

Then home to have friend’s over for a play and a few drinkies for the Mums, it was much needed, what an exhausting but great day.

I was very controlled and only bought a box of lovely antique terracotta pots, which I had been on the look out for anyway…

Oh and a succulent!

Happy Saturday lovelies.
If you’re local the show is on tomorrow also x

Your girls’ style is impeccable! Perfect colors for the occasion.
How can you control yourself like that? Antiques fairs always make me shift from a minimalist to a hoarder, at least for a day 🙂
Lovely photos. And those dishes! Is that some type of avocado salad on the last one?

    1. Thank you, they don’t always look quite so put together though!!
Ummm…self control comes in waves for me. We’ve just rearranged the living room and it’s very much not ‘done’, so I was conscious that I wanted to keep hold of funds to sort that….
That was homemade guacamole on in the bowl, top right bowl was Habitat, the splodgey one was IKEA.
