Maison et Objet 2019 – Inspiration.

I’ve had a whirlwind few days with 24 hours in Paris to attend Maison et Objet, a trade show dedicated to all things lifestyle, decoration and design. It was amazing and exhausting and completely overwhelming, so I’ve been going back through all the photos I took, reabsorbing everything that caught my eye.

Obviously I was on the look out for new brands to stock at the Alice in Scandiland Shop and boy did I find them, I’m so excited to add in some of what we saw, as and when I can. But I also went for the overall inspiration and experience. I went with a couple of super fab ladies, Bethie Tricks, my gorgeous friend and super creative, clever lady, Anna who owns the wonderful lifestyle store MonPote in Bristol and one of the girls who works for her, Rosie.

I thought I would share some of my favourite images with you, as a visual smorgasbord for you to peruse and enjoy. I took a lot of photos, I warn you!

The beautiful stairs at our AirB&B, the only positive thing about our accommodation!

Breakfast time…

MeriMeri is always a delight to behold….

I’m sorry to say I can’t remember the brand for this wonderful Leopard clothing, but oh how I love it. I’ll try my best to find the name.

Monk & Anna

Beautiful Littlephant.

I fell in love with Zone Denmark and their wonderful use of subtle, matt, muted tones.

Oh to have a home big enough to copy this exact lighting set-up above my dining table!

The Meraki stand was one of my favourites, the sink setup was pure beautiful genius.

It was a real treat to visit the House Doctor stand and immerse myself in a brand which I have only just starting stocking at the Alice in Scandiland Shop. I also got to meet Maria Rush, their Country manager for the UK and Ireland. We have talked on the phone and follow each other on Instagram, but it was so lovely to put a real world face to the name. I really enjoy it when the world of Instagram merges with real life and it all becomes that little bit more personal.

Overall it was the muted, subtle tones that I enjoyed the most “trend” wise, HK Living took my breath away with their wonderful offerings, I wanted to just move straight in!

The whole experience was incredibly inspiring and now my brain is even more overrun with ideas, changes I want to make at home and at the shop, as well as brands I hope to introduce this year.

I’m so happy I went. But now I want to sleep for a week!
