Easter Garden Party.

I quite often throw the girls a little Easter party, I love using the opportunity to decorate a table, maybe make a cake and create something a little special.

When we were told to stay home for the foreseeable, I knew a party would be something the girls could look forward to, something in the not so distant future to think about, when boredom sets in.

So, today arrived, another day at home, staying as safe as can be, feeling thankful for the continued good weather which has meant we can work away in the garden.

With the wind still and the day warming up, a garden party was just what was needed…

The fact we didn’t really have any party food in the house didn’t stop me, fortunately we had meringues, fresh whipped cream and raspberries.

I mostly used things from around for house to decorate the table, flowers from the gardwn, party accessories from MeriMeri, some old, some new.

The linen tablecloth is one of my absolute favourites, it’s made by Fine Little Day and I sell it at my shop.

Looks pretty lovely right? Nancy and Eula were absolutely thrilled, but want to see how a picture can tell a thousand lies? Let’s take a look at what is either side of this little Easter scene and how things started out this morning..

My box of party tricks…

We’re actually in the middle of Phase 2 of work on the garden (read about Phase 1 here), so this whole end of the garden is pretty chaotic – and muddy.

Gifts for the girls – I ordered this beautiful Helen Dardik book for Nancy weeks ago. It arrived the other day but I saved it as a special Easter treat. Eula got a rose Piki basket from the Alice in Scandiland Shop.

Not too many words from me today, I’m feeling exhausted after an incredibly late night, so I’ll just let the pretty pictures do the talking today.

I hope you enjoyed this little share, take care x

A big thank you to MeriMeri, as ever it’s a pleasure to work with such wonderfully imaginative products. We have so many pieces that we reuse time and again, I just love setting a party scene.

  1. You are the best mum ever. I’ve been following you for at least a couple of years now and those lovely girls of yours are really growing up fast. I’ve taken so much inspiration from your site and now my own place is a bit looky-likey. x
