Scandiland Staff Top Picks - Jen’s Fave 5.

Scandiland Staff Top Picks - Jen’s Fave 5.

Jen recently joined the shop team and is already proving to be such a good fit for us, we’re delighted to have her.

I asked if she would like to choose her current Top 5 products and share a little more about each item with you.

I love to see the objects I choose to sell through the eyes of others, so I hope you enjoy Jen’s little edit.

Orange Blossom Candle -

These candles are very special, as they’re blended and poured by hand. The selection of scents in this range are beautiful and they all have their perfect place around the home.

My favourite, Orange Blossom, takes me right back to warm evenings in Morocco. The scent is used throughout the Riads and Villas and transports me straight back to sipping mint tea in the sunshine on the coast of Essaouira.

from £10.95

Turkish Board -

Mixing old and new is one of my favourite elements in interior styling and these Turkish Bakery Boards hold so much character and charm.

As well as their cosmetic appeal, they’re also very practical, as you can use them to create more space through layering and forming a shelf. I have a reasonably small kitchen, so anything that creates more space is a winner!

Prices vary, depending on size/ detail. Approx £87.

Swimmers Cushion -

The Swimmers print is a strong favourite in the shop and I love this embroidered cushion by the Swedish brand Fine Little Day. It adds such a fun element to your space and, as I like to spend as much time as I can bobbing around in the sea, it’s the perfect print to bring the joy of sea swimming into the home.

Cushion cover £44, pad can be added seperately.

Leach Cornish Mug -

The selection of pottery in store is wonderful, I spend a lot of time trying to decide on my favourite mug and it’s tough! The Leach Pottery collection is particularly special because of the back story and the impact Bernard Leach had on pottery today. The Large Mug is one of my favourites as I love the mix of textures.

Espresso size £23, full size £29.

Snäcka Muslin Blanket -

A lot of products in the shop are multifunctional, being both beautiful and practical. That’s something I particularly love about the Snäcka Muslin Blanket. You can use it around the house, at the beach as a towel or even beachwear.

From the Sea Sea Sea collection, by Emilia Ilke for Fine Little Day, the shell pattern celebrates the sea and all its treasures, which I love. Living and growing up in Cornwall, the beach and the sea is such a big part in everything I do, so this collection is definitely one of my favourites.

Muslins £22

Thank you for sharing this wonderful selection with us Jen and for telling us what each piece means to you.

You’ll find Jen at the shop Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the moment, so please do pop by and say hello.

Whilst you’re there, you can have a nosey at the work my husband and I have been undertaking in the back shop.

We’re hoping to reopen this room in just a few weeks time, but the rest of the shop remains open throughout.

When Jen isn’t at the shop she’s off making the absolute most of our home county of Cornwall. In fact, I’d go as far as to say Jen is a bit of an expert when it comes to enjoying all that this wonderful part of the world has to offer.

Please do head over to her beautiful blog and socials, ‘Corners of Cornwall’ and give her a follow for all the best tips and tricks when it comes to beach recommendations, good eateries, events, accommodation and more.
