Moomin Änglaspel Rotary Candle Holder

One of our absolute favourite things at home. It came out for candlelit dinners and calm-down evenings when the girls were small, and even now they're older it's still the first thing they ask for when the evenings draw in. Light the tealight and Moominpappa, Moomintroll, Snufkin, Little My and friends slowly begin to turn – still mesmerising, whatever your age.

A Moomin take on the traditional Swedish Änglaspel, or angel chime, by Pluto Produkter. There's no battery or clockwork: warm air rising from the flame turns the carousel and sends soft, moving shadows across the table. It's lovely on the Christmas table or in a window on a dark afternoon, and makes a gift for a Moomin fan of any age.

Available in gold or silver. Comes in an illustrated Moomin gift box, ready to give.

Care

• Stand on a flat, heat-proof surface away from draughts and curtains.
• If it's slow to start, give the top a gentle nudge once the tealight has warmed up.
• Never leave a lit candle unattended, and keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Let it cool before handling. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
