Vintage E.J. Arnold Pastel Work Drawing Book

A lovely find. These landscape-format drawing books by E.J. Arnold & Son Ltd. of Leeds were made for school art rooms — the kind that smelled of chalk dust and possibility. Each one is filled with sheets of sugar paper in graduating shades of teal and sage, with that soft tooth that holds pastel and chalk so beautifully.

The duck-egg blue covers are wonderfully worn, the name-and-subject label still blank. A proper piece of British mid-century stationery history — and still entirely usable.

Each book is sold individually. Condition varies slightly between books; all are unwritten in.
