The Bird Silo by Pidät — a design-led hanging bird feeder made from 100% recycled plastic, designed and responsibly produced in Finland.

Created by Helsinki-based bird enthusiasts Mika and Julie Tolvanen of Studio Tolvanen, the Bird Silo is shaped like a grain silo for a reason. Lift the top cone, fill with sunflower seeds or peanuts, and the feeder fills from the bottom up — dispensing food gradually as birds eat. No mess, no waste.

A best-seller here at Alice in Scandiland, and we were the first shop in the UK to stock it.

Designed for clinging songbirds — Blue Tits, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Finches, Titmice and Woodpeckers are all regular visitors. Hang it from a tree, bracket or shepherd's hook and watch.

Available in Slate, Terracotta and Camp Green.

Care information

Fill with sunflower seeds (with shell) or peanuts — avoid millet mixes

Hand wash Bird Silo with soap and warm water and replace food often, especially during wet or humid weather to avoid bacteria that might harm your feathered guests. In wet weather, it is recommended to fill bird feeders with only enough food that will be consumed in a couple days.
